The amendment application proposes several changes to the Ernest Henry Mine, including extending the underground mine operation from Reduced Level (RL) 1150m to RL 750m. The extended operation is anticipated to produce additional tailings, which will require an increase in the approved capacity of the Tailings Storage Facility. Additionally, deeper mining activities are expected to result in further subsidence on the southern side of the pit, including the southern waste rock dump, resulting in an expansion of the total subsided area.
