Bigger Big Rig and Tree Walk
Project overview
The Big Rig pays homage to Australia’s first discovery of oil and gas. This new experience has a strong focus on adventure and stimulates the imagination of STEM enthusiasts.
The 40 metre observation tower will complement existing attractions - The Oil Patch, a self-guided outdoor museum and The Big Rig Night Show and includes a 100-metre tree walk. Starting at The Big Rig, visitors can travel to the Oil Patch Museum and then native vegetation along the Bungil Creek.
The walk incorporates audio-visual elements that align with the Australian Curriculum and focus on a STEM engagement experience. Visitors will see highlights of Outback Queensland while travelling to the top of the tower.
